Update on the Color Disparity

Excuse the poor lighting and set up of the pics- I took them at work this morning. They show the color difference well and I can't decide how bad this is. I spent a good chunk of change at the yarn store yesterday to buy several skeins of the new blue so I'm wondering if I could sell it somewhere and order the first color online. Anyone need some light denim colored Cascade 220?

Jason says he doesn't mind the difference and just wants it no matter what it looks like. But come on, I don't know any crafters who aren't perfectionists about their work. I have to trust his judgement and just go with it. Maybe once I get further into it I won't be staring at the line right there.

If it makes you feel better - my TV growing up would make the background colors change all the time. You're just being authentic to that experience!

That's funny and a new way to look at it. Thanks!

I think the color difference will REALLY bug you in the long run. Just one crafty perfectionist speaking to another.

So should I just bite the bullet and frog back? I could probably order some Cascade in that color online somewhere... but I'd have a major lull in updates.

How much frogging are we talking? In the picture, it looked like you'd only gotten an inch or two into it. (P.S. You know you were on boingboing.net today, right? Check your stats. I'll bet they're through the roof!)

I'm posting a picture update this evening. I've actually gotten a few more inches into the new color. I usually don't mind frogging (do it all the time with socks), but the intarsia makes this one a big pain in the rear.
