Holy Knit One, Purl Two, Batman!

Becky made a blog post about the scarf on the Craftzine blog this afternoon... sweet! This may require a celebratory Sam Adams summer brew and a spin on the Wii. (Dear Sweet Boyfriend, if you happen to read this over in Japan, I did not actually drink beer while playing with your toys. I just thought about it. By the way, your Jameson shirt is on the Craftzine blog!)

"boingboinged"?

What's that?

Your scarf is sooo cool! It's going to be amazing. How far do you reckon you are through it? You should put a ticker on your site to show where abouts you are up to with it - like a progress tracker. Well done you for taking on such a massive project but the reward of getting engaged at the end is a huge incentive :)

Hey! That's pretty freakin awesome! Do you have a pattern, or did you just chart it out yourself? My boyfriend is now demanding his own, so any tips would be greatly appreciated, and I can just see myself spending the rest of the summer playing, pausing, and graphing the game... oy!

Cassie -- Here's the link to the post Boing Boing did of you and the scarf.

Also, my boyfriend is now making (in jest) noises along the lines of, "Oh, if someone loved me enough to make a Mario scarf...."

I don't have the dedication you do to making a full first-level scarf. But, if you're selling (or giving away) a pattern for say, the first five or six feet, then I'd appreciate that! I'm sure others would, too. Thanks!

Here via Boing Boing as well and holy crap, is this awesome.

You put my knitting to shame. I bow before your superior skillz.

I got here via mental_floss and I am in awe of your geeky-fantabulousness. This is a verrrrry ambitious project and you are making it look well, not easy, exactly, but doable for your average geek knitter.

I'm totally adding you to my google reader. I have trouble plugging away at a baby sweater and I can't even imagine doing something this cool and complicated!

Here via BoingBoing like everyone else. (Get ready for the traffic!)

This is amazing. Are you going to have Mario appear anywhere, or any power-ups?

Geek Crafters unite! :) Though I'm more along the lines of cross stitching. This is awesome! Good luck!

ah HA! just a few days ago, the missus and i were hatching up nerdy ideas for quilts and the idea of a really long one of the first level of mario popped into my head. god bless mental_floss for linking you and proving that it really is a great idea.
best of luck on your scarf. and tell that boy of yours to ask you already. cute nerdy girls are a rarity and long engagements are so classy, in a Fitzgerald kind of way.
